Former MLB superstar Alex Rodriguez surprised Bucknell University students by sinking a half-court shot during halftime of the Bucknell-Army basketball game on Sunday. The impressive feat not only electrified the crowd but also resulted in a $10,000 windfall for a lucky student.

Rodriguez was in attendance with his business partners, Marc Lore and Jordy Leiser, both Bucknell alumni. The trio are involved in Jump, a tech company focused on enhancing fan engagement with professional sports. Lore and Rodriguez also co-own the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves.

Before the game, the three participated in a Bucknell Forum event. Rodriguez, the former New York Yankees third baseman, has transitioned into a successful entrepreneur since retiring from baseball. His business ventures include A-Rod Corp and investments in companies like Snapchat, Vita Coco, and Hims and Hers.

Bucknell ultimately dominated the game, winning 84-53. The exciting half-time shot by Rodriguez, however, proved to be a memorable highlight of the event.
