Rodriguez was in attendance with his business partners, Marc Lore and Jordy Leiser, both Bucknell alumni. The trio are involved in Jump, a tech company focused on enhancing fan engagement with professional sports. Lore and Rodriguez also co-own the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves.

Before the game, the three participated in a Bucknell Forum event. Rodriguez, the former New York Yankees third baseman, has transitioned into a successful entrepreneur since retiring from baseball.
