A chilling dashcam video reveals the heart-stopping moment an out-of-control truck plowed into two emergency vehicles attending to an earlier accident on a snow-covered Michigan interstate. The incident unfolded Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. on I-94 as first responders were assisting a previous crash. The truck careened into a fire truck parked on the side of the highway, then flipped onto its side, striking a sheriff's patrol vehicle positioned in front of the fire truck.
The dramatic footage, captured from a vehicle parked behind the initial scene, shows the overturned vehicle being assisted before the secondary collision. The video also captures the terrifying moments as first responders narrowly escape the oncoming truck after the initial impact.

Miraculously, no first responders were injured, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. The truck driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries as a precautionary measure.

Following the incident, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office issued a strong cautionary message via Facebook, urging drivers to avoid unnecessary travel during periods of severe winter weather. They emphasized the importance of extreme caution, reduced speed, and allowing extra travel time for those who must be on the roads, highlighting that such precautions are vital for the safety of both drivers and emergency personnel. The sheriff's office confirmed that the storm had created treacherous driving conditions throughout the county, leading to multiple accidents and slide-offs, particularly on highways.
