A heated altercation on a New York City subway train resulted in the death of a 36-year-old man who reportedly threatened violence just moments before the fatal encounter. Devictor Ouedraogo was pronounced dead at a Brooklyn hospital Tuesday night after being stabbed aboard a northbound J train. The incident occurred in the Williamsburg neighborhood.
Police have arrested 20-year-old Jordan Williams of Queens, charging him with manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. According to a witness who spoke with the New York Post, Ouedraogo was behaving aggressively towards other passengers and even removed his shirt, proclaiming he was "going to erase someone."

The witness, identified as Eric, detailed how Ouedraogo and a friend were being disruptive on the train before Williams boarded. Williams sat near two older women and a young woman, and Ouedraogo reportedly began interacting with one of the older women, causing her to react defensively. Williams then told Ouedraogo to calm down, which escalated the situation.

According to Eric, Ouedraogo then punched Williams in the face, and sources suggest he also struck Williams' girlfriend. As the fight continued, passengers scrambled to other train cars. The witness did not see Williams draw a knife but described a motion that looked like a punch to Ouedraogo's chest. Ouedraogo then stumbled into the adjacent train car with a bleeding chest wound. He reportedly exited the train at the next stop and collapsed on the platform.

Police responded to a 911 call and found Ouedraogo with the stab wound. He was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. This incident occurred just one day before the indictment of Daniel Penny in the unrelated subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely.
