Former President Trump has unveiled several new appointments for his anticipated second term, including key positions in intelligence, homeland security, and international diplomacy. Devin Nunes, CEO of Truth Social, has been nominated to chair the Intelligence Advisory Board (IAB). Trump cited Nunes' experience as former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and his role in investigating the origins of the Russia investigation as qualifications for this role. In this capacity, Nunes will provide independent assessments of the U.S. Intelligence Community's activities.

For the Department of Homeland Security, Trump has selected Troy Edgar, an IBM executive, as Deputy Secretary. Edgar previously served in the Trump administration as Chief Financial Officer and Associate Deputy Under Secretary of Management for Homeland Security, where he oversaw the department's budget and resource allocation. Trump highlighted Edgar's financial management experience and his prior role as Mayor of Los Alamitos, California, where he opposed sanctuary city policies. Edgar would serve under South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Trump's nominee for Homeland Security Secretary.

In the realm of international relations, Trump has nominated Bill White, a businessman and philanthropist, to be the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium. White is the founder and CEO of Constellations Group, a consulting firm, and formerly led the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum in New York. Trump praised White's business acumen, philanthropic work, and advocacy for military veterans and first responders. He also noted White's significant fundraising efforts for military personnel and their families.

These nominations represent the latest wave of appointments as Trump prepares for a potential second term, pending Senate confirmation.
