Former President Donald Trump voiced his disapproval of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's negotiation strategies during an interview on "The Brian Kilmeade Show." Trump expressed his frustration with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Zelenskyy's perceived lack of leverage in peace negotiations with Russia.
Trump stated that Zelenskyy "has no cards" and criticized his approach to discussions, emphasizing the devastation faced by Ukraine throughout the war. He also questioned Zelenskyy's complaints about being excluded from recent peace talks held in Saudi Arabia between U.S. and Russian officials.

Trump highlighted a recent visit by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to Ukraine to discuss a mineral agreement, which ultimately fell through. He deemed the trip a risky endeavor and a wasted opportunity, asserting that the potential deal could have offered substantial security guarantees for Ukraine.
Trump attributed the initiation of the war to the previous administration's handling of relations with Russia, particularly criticizing then-President Biden's communication with Vladimir Putin. He claimed that the current peace talks are a direct result of his own return to office, stating that without his involvement, negotiations would not be taking place.
