Former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley seems to be enjoying his time with the Philadelphia Eagles, and a recent advertisement for Unisom, a sleep aid, has added fuel to the fire. The ad features a lullaby sung by Barkley with a message that appears to be aimed at Giants owner John Mara, who previously expressed his sleeplessness over the prospect of Barkley joining the Eagles.

Barkley’s lullaby includes the lines, "I heard some of you were having trouble sleeping… It sure is tough to lose sleep over football – not for me, though." This seems to be a direct reference to Mara’s earlier comments. Barkley's performance this season has certainly given Giants fans something to lose sleep over. He recently surpassed the 2,000-yard rushing mark, becoming the ninth player in NFL history to achieve this milestone. This feat comes after Mara's infamous statement on HBO's "Hard Knocks," where he admitted his potential sleep troubles if Barkley were to join a rival team, particularly the Eagles.

Despite having a chance to break the NFL's single-season rushing yards record, Barkley will sit out Week 18 to prepare for the playoffs. This decision leaves him just shy of the record but prioritizes the team's overall health and playoff aspirations. Barkley acknowledged the allure of the record but emphasized the importance of the bigger picture. He stated, "It's an opportunity to implant my name in football history…[I] may never get another opportunity like that again. So I'm down. But in the end of the day, I don't care for putting the team at risk." He will finish the season with an impressive 2,005 rushing yards.
