Chicago Bears defensive lineman Justin Jones recently stirred the pot, expressing his thoughts on the NFC North and particularly the Green Bay Packers. Jones admitted he wished Aaron Rodgers had stayed with the Packers for another season, simply so the Bears could defeat him again. While acknowledging Rodgers' departure is ultimately beneficial, Jones didn't hold back his criticism of Packers fans, calling them "really terrible."

He went further, suggesting a lack of football knowledge among a portion of the fanbase, stating, "Half of them don't even know football." Jones expressed eagerness to play at Lambeau Field and silence the Green Bay crowd with a resounding victory. His comments inject renewed intensity into the long-standing rivalry between the two teams.

The Packers have recently dominated the Bears, winning both annual matchups for four consecutive seasons. The Bears' last victory against Green Bay dates back to December 2018, which coincidentally was also the last time Chicago clinched the division title. Green Bay has secured the NFC North crown in three of the past four seasons, with the Minnesota Vikings claiming it last year.

Despite the Bears' struggles in 2022, the team has made significant improvements during the offseason, acquiring key players like linebackers Tremaine Edmunds, T.J. Edwards, and wide receiver D.J. Moore. Jones, who began his NFL career with the Chargers, expressed strong confidence in the Bears' future, proclaiming, "I'm ready to take it over. It's a good time to be a Bears fan." The Bears will face the Packers in Week 1 and again in the final week of the regular season, providing ample opportunity for Jones to back up his bold pronouncements.
