Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer emphasized the significance of the US-India partnership, stating that it will be one of the most crucial relationships of the 21st century and a strong counterbalance to China's growing influence.

Among the notable attendees were House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who brought his daughter-in-law to her first White House event, and tech giants such as Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Hunter Biden, the president's son, was also present, just days after news broke of his plea agreement on federal tax charges. President Biden expressed pride in his son when questioned by reporters.

Fashion icon Ralph Lauren, who designed Jill Biden's gown, made a stylish appearance in a tuxedo and New Balance sneakers.

Other guests included Ashley Biden, Naomi Biden, Huma Abedin, Billie Jean King, and director M. Night Shyamalan.

During the dinner, Prime Minister Modi recalled previous meetings with President Biden during a period of fasting, expressing his appreciation for the president's concern and noting that he was now enjoying the food offered.
