Following his recent divorce, Earl Charles Spencer has opened up about his blossoming relationship with Dr. Cat Jarman, his podcast co-host. Spencer, Princess Diana's younger brother, expressed a newfound sense of freedom and authenticity with Jarman, who is 18 years his junior.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Spencer shared that Jarman allows him to be his true self, a feeling he cherishes. He emphasized that she understands him deeply and brings out his best qualities.

Spencer admitted that the age difference initially made him hesitant to pursue a romantic relationship. Coming out of a marriage, he wasn't looking for love. However, their connection grew organically, evolving into something meaningful.

He highlighted Jarman's dynamic personality and shared interests, recounting how they explored a lagoon together instead of simply staying at their hotel during a festival. This active and engaged approach to life resonated deeply with Spencer.

The couple's journey began in 2021 when Jarman, a Norwegian archaeologist, conducted research at Althorp House. They later launched a historical podcast, "The Rabbit Hole Detectives," in 2023, alongside the Rev. Richard Coles.

Spencer's divorce from his third wife, Karen, was announced in June. They met on a blind date and married in 2011, sharing a daughter, Lady Charlotte Diana. Spencer expressed sadness about the split but wished Karen happiness in the future.

Karen acknowledged the public support she received following the announcement, expressing gratitude on her Instagram account.

Spencer's memoir, "A Very Private School," reportedly played a role in the breakdown of his marriage to Karen. The book details his experience with childhood sexual abuse, a secret he kept for many years. He revealed that after two failed marriages, he sought help, recognizing the need for personal growth and to be a better father to his children. Through therapy, including PTSD treatment, tai chi, and breathing exercises, Spencer feels he has made significant progress in his healing journey.
