Texas Father Accused of Setting House Ablaze with Children Inside

A Texas man is facing serious charges after allegedly setting his house on fire with his three young children trapped inside. 46-year-old Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar is currently in custody at Fort Bend County Jail, with a hefty $2.25 million bond set against him. He's charged with three counts of attempted murder.

The incident occurred on November 6th in the Polo Ranch Community of Fulshear, Texas. First responders arrived at the scene on Eldorado Lane to find the house engulfed in flames. Two of the children managed to escape with minor injuries, but a three-year-old remained trapped within the burning building.

Police officers, hearing faint cries from inside the house, bravely entered through a bedroom window and rescued the trapped toddler. The child, suffering from severe smoke inhalation, was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, the child has since been released and is recovering.

Jail

Pulgar himself sustained extensive injuries in the fire and required a prolonged hospital stay. Upon his release on Thursday, he was promptly taken into custody. The house suffered significant damage in the blaze.
