A Denver highway witnessed a tragic double shooting on Tuesday stemming from a road rage incident. Two men traveling together in a vehicle on Interstate 25 stopped in the right lane near a busy interchange. One of the men exited their vehicle and approached another car that had also stopped. The driver of the second vehicle then allegedly opened fire, fatally wounding the passenger.
As the suspect attempted to flee, the driver of the first vehicle clung to the suspect's car. The suspect fired again, fatally striking the driver, who then fell to the roadway. A Denver detective, coincidentally driving by at the time of the shooting, pursued the suspect's vehicle and alerted uniformed officers. The 25-year-old suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter during a traffic stop without incident.

Authorities have not yet disclosed any details regarding the events leading up to the vehicles stopping on the interstate.
