Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

A high-performance McLaren sports car tragically split apart after colliding with a sedan and subsequently striking a tree in Dallas, Texas, resulting in the deaths of both occupants. The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Abrams Road and Royal Lane in the Lake Highlands neighborhood.

The victims have been identified as 29-year-old Cristobal Flores Espino and 31-year-old Robert Leroy Rocha. The driver of the other vehicle involved, a gold Toyota sedan, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The force of the impact ripped the McLaren, believed to be a 570S Coupé model, into two distinct sections. The front half of the vehicle wrapped around the tree, while the rear section landed approximately 30 feet away. The Toyota also sustained significant damage, with its hood caved in, suggesting it too collided with a tree.
