A shooting incident at a South Florida Walmart on Wednesday has resulted in charges against three men. The altercation, which occurred approximately 25 miles southwest of Miami in Florida City, stemmed from a fight between two groups, according to a Miami-Dade police report. The incident tragically left one person dead and another injured.

25-year-old Steve Lestin faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted felony murder. 20-year-old Roberto Acevedo and 21-year-old Jimari Hodge are both charged with battery. Law enforcement has indicated they are not actively searching for any further suspects. Emergency responders transported two victims to a Miami trauma center following the shooting. One of the victims, identified as 23-year-old Nathaniel Baez, who was involved in the initial confrontation, later succumbed to his injuries. The other victim, a bystander, suffered a gunshot wound to the foot.
The chaos resulting from the gunfire also caused several other injuries. One woman was taken to a hospital after falling and hitting her head. Five additional individuals received on-site treatment for minor cuts and abrasions. Lestin is currently being held without bond. Acevedo and Hodge are each being held on $1,500 bail. At the time of this report, online jail records did not indicate legal representation for the accused.
