After enduring over 500 days in captivity, one of the three Israeli hostages recently released by Hamas has shared her joy at returning to her life. Emily Damari, a 28-year-old dual Israeli-British citizen, expressed her elation on Instagram, stating, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, I'm the happiest in the world just to be." Authorities confirmed that Damari lost two fingers during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and is currently in stable condition following her release from Gaza.

Damari's mother, Mandy Damari, expressed her immense relief and joy at being reunited with her daughter. In a statement released by the Hostage and Missing Families Forum, she described the reunion as the hug she had dreamt of. While celebrating Emily's return, Mandy Damari emphasized the plight of the remaining 94 hostages, urging for the continuation of the ceasefire and the safe return of every captive.

Mandy Damari also highlighted her daughter's resilience while acknowledging the long road to recovery ahead, particularly given the loss of two fingers. The release of Damari, Doron Steinbrecher (31), and Romi Gonen (24) came as part of a cease-fire agreement that saw Israel release 90 Palestinian prisoners in the West Bank.

This release marks a significant development in the ongoing conflict, offering a glimmer of hope for the remaining hostages and their families.
