In a candid interview, the retired restaurateur revealed he's dating again, emphasizing the refreshing simplicity of his new relationship. "It's quite liberating," Turner shared, highlighting his new partner's acceptance of him without the baggage of his past experiences. This includes a lack of interest in his reality TV journey and social media presence, a stark contrast to his previous relationships. Turner is hesitant to label the budding romance, preferring to let things unfold naturally.

Turner's divorce from Nist was finalized in June. The split, announced on "Good Morning America," was attributed to "irreconcilable differences" and a mutual recognition that their living situations and future goals were diverging. Turner's cancer diagnosis, revealed in March, played a significant role in the couple's decision to part ways. He was diagnosed with Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, an incurable form of bone marrow cancer. The weight of this diagnosis, Turner explained, prompted a reassessment of his priorities, leading him to prioritize family and the well-being of his daughters. While Nist expressed hope for Turner's positive prognosis, communication between the two has since ceased.
