Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Adam Boehler, delivered a strong message to Hamas, cautioning against challenging President Trump's resolve as the deadline for the release of American hostages approaches this weekend.

Boehler underscored the gravity of the situation, stating, "Seven Americans are currently held captive by Hamas. This is a terrorist organization, and such actions are unacceptable." He made these remarks during an appearance on "The Story."

Earlier this week, Hamas announced a delay in the scheduled hostage release, claiming Israel had breached the ceasefire terms. This postponement adds another layer of complexity to an already tense situation.

President Trump has urged Israel to terminate the ceasefire if Hamas fails to release all hostages by Saturday at noon. He emphasized the need for a complete release, not a staggered return of captives.

Current estimates indicate that 76 hostages remain in the Gaza Strip, including at least six Americans. Of these, only Edan Alexander and Sagui Dekel-Chen are believed to be alive. Hamas retains the remains of four other Americans who perished in 2023 and 2024.
