Despite being up against elite athletes and former champions, Romano believes golf offers a unique opportunity for anyone to have a good day and potentially outperform the favorites. He's even accomplished this feat in the past, finishing 60th in both 2005 and 2016, beating out notable NFL legends and other sports stars.
Romano told Fox News Digital that a top-50 finish would be a significant accomplishment for him. He relishes the competitive aspect of the tournament and the chance to play alongside renowned athletes.
The event, which draws large crowds and raises millions for charity, is also a family affair for Romano. He enjoys sharing the experience with his children, who are sports enthusiasts and appreciate the opportunity to meet famous athletes like Aaron Rodgers, the new quarterback for their beloved Jets.

Romano shared a humorous anecdote from the 2021 tournament. He accidentally hit a spectator with a shanked shot, only to discover later that the person was a relative he had intended to meet at the event. The incident became a funny story for Romano and the Dan Le Batard Show podcast.
