The rodent, while an unwelcome visitor to Shakira's face, did make it into the final cut of the "Copa Vacia" video. However, the mermaid's troubles didn't end there. In a separate incident, the fish tank Shakira was filming in malfunctioned, flooding the set. As she recounted to Univision’s Primer Impacto, her mermaid tail prevented her from escaping the tank, requiring a crane to lift her out. Shakira lightheartedly described the ordeal as "an anecdote" and revealed that her co-star, Manuel Turizo, had predicted the tank's failure.
