Actor Tom Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man, recently shared his complex relationship with Hollywood and his journey towards prioritizing personal well-being. In a candid conversation on the "Jay Shetty Podcast," Holland expressed his discomfort with the entertainment industry, stating, "I really am passionate about filmmaking, but Hollywood isn't for me. The business side is intimidating." He emphasized his desire to maintain a sense of normalcy outside the industry's glare, constantly seeking ways to "disconnect and live as regular a life as possible."

Holland highlighted the importance of preserving his identity amidst the pressures of fame, having witnessed others lose themselves in the industry. He stressed his commitment to cherishing personal connections and pursuits like spending time with family and friends, carpentry, golf, and supporting his mother's charity work. These, he stated, are the things that bring him genuine happiness and deserve protection.
Having started his acting career at a young age, Holland's rise to global stardom came with the Spider-Man role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He recently announced a break from acting following the completion of his AppleTV+ series "The Crowded Room." Addressing his relationship with co-star Zendaya, Holland emphasized their shared commitment to privacy. "Our relationship is something we hold sacred. We don't discuss it publicly," he explained, believing this approach is crucial for their well-being as a couple. He further stated his aversion to unnecessary public appearances, preferring to attend events only when directly involved in the project.

Holland also revealed his decision to quit alcohol a year and a half ago, describing a moment of realization during "Dry January" when his preoccupation with drinking became alarming. He admitted to a previous dependence on alcohol and highlighted the positive impact of sobriety on his mental clarity, health, and overall well-being. He expressed a newfound freedom from the grip of alcohol, stating, "It's honestly been the best thing I've ever done."

Furthermore, Holland discussed his decision to step back from social media, citing his growing obsession with online opinions and its negative impact on his mental health. He explained his need to take a break to prioritize his well-being.
