A devastating incident unfolded at a five-star resort in Manavgat, Turkey, resulting in the death of a 65-year-old tourist, Ali Cilga. Cilga was enjoying a vacation with his family when tragedy struck on a waterslide. A video capturing the event shows Cilga descending the slide headfirst, tragically impacting his head on the pool's concrete floor.
Disturbingly, several other swimmers in the pool appear unaware of the incident, passing by Cilga before other visitors finally noticed him. He was subsequently pulled from the water, and attempts were made to resuscitate him, presumably by the hotel's lifeguard.

Local news outlets have reported that Cilga may have received warnings from lifeguards against going down the slide headfirst. He was rushed to a hospital following the incident on June 26th but sadly succumbed to his injuries on July 3rd. Cilga's hometown has not been publicly released, although he has been identified as Turkish. He was reportedly at the resort with his family in celebration of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

An autopsy has been ordered, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Cilga's death is currently underway. This tragic event follows closely on the heels of another waterslide incident on July 4th in Georgia, where a 5-year-old boy was injured after falling from a slide.
