Over two decades after the discovery of an unidentified woman's body at a Los Angeles area construction site, authorities have finally revealed her identity. Using DNA technology, Redondo Beach police confirmed the remains belong to Catherine Parker-Johnson, a mother last seen by her family in 1981.
Parker-Johnson's family last had contact with her in May 1981 within the Lennox neighborhood of Los Angeles. Although she was never officially listed as a missing person, her remains were positively identified earlier this year using DNA samples provided by her daughter and sister.

The discovery of Parker-Johnson's remains dates back to August 29, 2001, during a construction project on a residential street in Redondo Beach. Despite initial investigations, authorities were unable to identify the body at the time.
The case is now being actively investigated as a homicide. Police are scheduled to hold a press conference on Monday morning to provide further details and request public assistance in the ongoing investigation.
