Following a tragic accident that claimed the lives of a father and his two-year-old daughter, an Alabama mother is now facing arrest in connection with the death of her missing one-year-old son. Wendy Pamela Bailey, 22, reportedly informed investigators that her son, Kahleb Rowan Collins, had died and his remains were stored in a shed.

The investigation, conducted by the 24th Circuit District Attorney's Office and the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, began after Kahleb was not found following the accident that killed his father, Steven Bradley Collins, 40, and sister, Ryleigh Collins, 2. Authorities now believe the toddler has been deceased for a period of time.

Court documents suggest a disturbing pattern of abuse. Evidence allegedly points to Steven Collins abusing Kahleb, with Bailey failing to protect or report the abuse. Furthermore, it's believed Bailey was aware of the body's location in the storage shed. Disturbing photos included in the complaint reportedly depict the extent of the abuse, showing the child bloodied, hanging from a rope, and covered in bruises. Text messages between Bailey and Collins also appear to document the child's declining condition, with Collins expressing concern and Bailey seemingly dismissing the severity of the situation.

Despite the ongoing investigation and active search, Kahleb's remains have not yet been recovered.
