The couple has been dating for three years. Bunnie Xo, wife of musician Jelly Roll, had predicted a 2025 engagement, leading to Wilson's playful response about potentially popping the question herself.

This playful banter about proposals isn't new for the couple. After publicly revealing their relationship at the ACM Awards in May 2023, Wilson had joked on the "Bobby Bones Show" about having to propose to Hodges since he hadn't done so yet. At the time, she mentioned wanting to wait for a less hectic period in their lives to fully savor the engagement. She praised Hodges as a "good dude" who understands the demands of chasing a dream, having pursued his own NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Rams. Hodges now works in real estate.
