Ex-Buffalo Bills Star Eric Moulds Faces Lawsuit Over STD Allegations

Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims he knowingly transmitted a sexually transmitted disease (STD) to her. The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, alleges that Moulds was aware of his condition but failed to inform her before they engaged in intimate relations. She further asserts that she contracted herpes simplex virus type 2 from Moulds and learned through social media of other women who claim to have had similar experiences with the former NFL player.

According to the World Health Organization, herpes simplex virus type 2, which causes genital herpes, is spread through sexual contact. While treatable, the virus is not curable. The lawsuit details that Moulds' fiancée, who was pregnant at the time, contacted the plaintiff and advised her to get tested for STDs. This prompted the plaintiff to seek testing, where she subsequently received a positive diagnosis.

Moulds' attorney, Frank LoTempio III, has vehemently denied the allegations, stating they are false and that they are actively gathering evidence to defend against the lawsuit. LoTempio told Newsweek that he would provide further comments once the litigation process commences. The lawsuit claims Moulds initiated contact with the woman via social media in 2018 and that their romantic relationship began in January 2023. Their last sexual encounter allegedly occurred in November 2023, and the woman tested positive for the STD the following month. She maintains that Moulds was her only sexual partner during that period.
