The dog suffered two non-life-threatening lacerations, each between two and three inches long, near its hindquarters. A witness recounted that Mileskiewicz suddenly became enraged at the dog, grabbed a pocketknife, and began stabbing the animal, prompting the 911 call. After being apprehended and read her Miranda rights, Mileskiewicz allegedly told investigators the dog was "bothering" her, leading her to become upset and "make a mistake." She was booked into the Hernando County Detention Center with a bond set at $3,500.
