Before achieving widespread recognition for his roles in popular television series like "Friday Night Lights" and "True Detective," actor Taylor Kitsch experienced a period of homelessness, sleeping on the New York City subway system. In 2002, Kitsch relocated from Canada to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and acting. During this time, he faced financial hardship and resorted to sleeping on the subway for a brief period, less than a month. He specifically mentioned taking the blue train line uptown. Fortunately, his situation improved after connecting with his talent manager, who took a chance on him and helped him secure acting opportunities. Kitsch's dedication to embodying diverse characters eventually led him to his breakout role as Tim Riggins in the acclaimed series "Friday Night Lights" in 2006. This role significantly impacted his career and life, bringing him widespread recognition and acclaim.

Kitsch's career continued to flourish, but he never embraced the Hollywood lifestyle. In 2023, he moved to Montana seeking a quieter life. He found solace in the tranquility of the area and has focused on establishing a supportive space for veterans and individuals recovering from addiction. This initiative was partly inspired by his sister's struggles with addiction. Kitsch's center aims to provide a peaceful environment where people can reconnect with nature and focus on self-improvement. He's also pursuing wildlife photography in his new Montana home.
