After relocating his family from the United States to an undisclosed European location, Gabriel Macht wasn't planning on a Hollywood comeback. However, the "Suits" alum will reprise his Harvey Specter role for three episodes of the spinoff, "Suits L.A.," specifically for the show's dedicated fanbase.
In an interview, Macht emphasized that his return isn't for personal gain, stating, "I'm just doing it for the fans. I've played the character over a hundred times. This isn't about me." His current focus is on family and creative endeavors like his whiskey brand, Bear Fight.

Macht's agreement with "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh prioritizes his family's needs and schedule. The actor aims to support the new show and its star, Stephen Amell, by "passing the baton" and offering his endorsement.

While Macht's filming is yet to commence, he has reviewed the scripts and understands the connection between his character, Harvey, and Amell's character, Ted Black. He expressed anticipation for the on-screen dynamic between the two.

Macht's "Suits" journey spanned nine seasons, concluding in 2019. His recent move abroad with his wife, Jacinda Barrett, reflects their desire for a new chapter and global exploration, particularly after the constraints of the pandemic in Manhattan. The couple, who met in 2000 and married in 2004, are homeschooling their two children.

A 2024 Golden Globes reunion brought together much of the "Suits" cast, notably excluding Meghan Markle, who departed the show after her engagement to Prince Harry.
