Comedian Jeff Dye recently recounted his experience working with Sarah Hyland on the 2019 film "The Wedding Year," alleging unprofessional behavior on Hyland's part. During an appearance on "The George Janko Show" podcast, Dye, while acknowledging his minor role in the film, described Hyland as a "tyrant" and "rude to everyone." He criticized her for complaining about extras accessing craft services and for what he perceived as demanding preferential treatment due to her top billing. Dye recounted an incident where he claimed Hyland became emotional while showing a movie trailer, to which he reacted with a comment he admitted was intended to disrupt the moment. He further stated that he had discussed Hyland's behavior with other set members who reportedly shared his sentiments. Dye expressed indifference towards potential career repercussions for his statements, emphasizing his commitment to honesty. He also referenced a prior incident involving his ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari, whom he accused of exploiting his 2023 DUI arrest for personal gain.
