An unprecedented snowstorm in New Orleans has led to the postponement of Wednesday's NBA game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks. The heavy snowfall, accumulating to approximately a foot, created significant travel challenges in the typically warm city, ill-equipped to handle such weather conditions.
The Bucks arrived in New Orleans on Monday, a day earlier than their usual travel schedule, in an attempt to avoid the impending storm. However, with temperatures hovering in the 30s on Wednesday and major highways and surface roads remaining closed or iced over, the game was ultimately postponed. The rescheduling date is yet to be determined.

The widespread impact of the storm also resulted in the closure of schools and businesses throughout the New Orleans area, and Louis Armstrong International Airport canceled all commercial departures. These factors further contributed to the NBA's decision to postpone the game.

The Bucks' next scheduled game is against the Miami Heat in Milwaukee on Thursday evening. Following this, they embark on a West Coast road trip, with their next home game not until February 2nd. Their next matchup against the Pelicans is slated for April 9th in Milwaukee.

The Pelicans, currently holding a 12-32 record and the second-worst standing in the Western Conference, have games scheduled for both Friday and Saturday, presenting a scheduling challenge for the NBA to fit in the postponed game. The Bucks, on the other hand, boast a 24-17 record, placing them fourth in the Eastern Conference.
