Tennis icon Pam Shriver has been reunited with her stolen trophies following a harrowing experience involving wildfire evacuations and car theft. The Hall of Famer shared the good news on social media, confirming the Los Angeles Police Department returned several trophies and sentimental items. These precious possessions were initially stolen along with her car while she was staying at a hotel after evacuating her home due to wildfires.

Shriver, a 21-time Grand Slam doubles champion, explained to the Associated Press that she had packed her car with personal belongings, including the trophies and family photos, before evacuating. Unfortunately, her vehicle, along with its contents, was stolen from the hotel. Shriver noted the trophies were hidden in the back and wouldn't have been visible to someone looking through the windows.

The trophies were later returned to the hotel and retrieved by a detective for fingerprinting before being given back to Shriver. Security footage, according to ESPN, showed someone driving a car matching the description of Shriver's stolen Dodge Durango Hellcat dropping off the trophies.

The recovered trophies include five from Shriver's U.S. Open women's doubles victories and four French Open doubles trophies won with her frequent partner, Martina Navratilova. Shriver won 20 of her 21 Grand Slam doubles titles alongside Navratilova. Thankfully, Shriver's home remained undamaged by the wildfires. While relieved to have her trophies back, she expressed curiosity about their journey while they were missing.
