After an impressive 40-year run, Pat Sajak, 76, has announced his departure from the beloved game show, "Wheel of Fortune." His 41st season, commencing this September, will be his last. While the future host remains a mystery, online speculation suggests his daughter, country singer Maggie Sajak, might be a potential successor.

Sajak expressed gratitude for the "wonderful ride" and promised to share more thoughts in the months to come. Having hosted since 1981, he surpassed "Price is Right" host Bob Barker in September 2022, becoming the longest-running game show host. Sony Pictures Television, in a statement, expressed their immense gratitude for Sajak's contribution and revealed he'll continue as a consultant for three years after his final season.

Sajak has always aspired to be in broadcasting, citing figures like Arthur Godfrey, Dave Garroway, Steve Allen, and Jack Paar as his early inspirations. Vanna White joined him as co-host in 1982, creating a dynamic duo that has entertained audiences for decades. Recently, Maggie Sajak filled in for White during a show crossover with "Jeopardy!"

Maggie, 29, has also been involved behind the scenes as a social media correspondent since 2021. She considers the "Wheel of Fortune" team an extended family and enjoys offering viewers a glimpse into the show's off-camera moments.
