A dramatic rescue unfolded in Seattle on Sunday evening when a car plunged into the Puget Sound following a high-speed collision. Bystanders heroically pulled a woman from the submerged vehicle, administering CPR until emergency personnel arrived.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Alki Avenue Southwest in West Seattle. According to police, a speeding vehicle struck the woman's car, forcing it into the water. Two individuals bravely jumped into the Sound, breaking the car's window with assistance from neighbors who provided a hammer and ladder to aid in the rescue.

The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle, identified by police as a suspect, was also taken to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries. His car, which came to rest outside a nearby apartment building, sustained significant damage, including the loss of its roof and side doors.
