The alarming rise of concertgoers throwing objects at performers has sparked concern and discussion within the music industry. Joe Germanotta, father of Lady Gaga, recently voiced his disapproval of this dangerous trend, calling it "a shame" during an interview on "America Reports."
Germanotta, who has attended over 200 shows, noted a shift in fan behavior. While traditionally fans might throw personal items like letters, jackets, or flowers, the recent trend involves throwing cell phones and other potentially harmful objects. He expressed disbelief that fans would throw their "most prized possession" at artists.

This dangerous behavior has affected several prominent artists. Harry Styles was recently hit in the eye during a performance, and Adele had to issue a stern warning to her fans after objects were thrown onstage. Drake also narrowly avoided being hit by a cell phone.
Bebe Rexha wasn't as fortunate. Last month, she was struck in the face by a cell phone, resulting in an arrest and stitches for the singer. This incident highlighted the serious consequences of this trend.

Germanotta expressed hope that this trend wouldn't escalate at Lady Gaga's shows, acknowledging the love and respect her fans have for her. The music community is grappling with this issue, hoping to find solutions to ensure the safety of performers and maintain a positive concert experience for everyone.
