Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) owner Herb Simon expressed excitement about the partnership with Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett in finding the ideal location for the center. He emphasized the city's continued support in elevating the team, its players, and the community.

The impressive 108,000-square-foot facility will be directly connected to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the home arena for both the Fever and the Indiana Pacers. Construction is expected to commence in August 2025.

The center's design will prioritize the unique requirements of elite female athletes, encompassing performance and conditioning, recovery and rehabilitation, mental health and wellness, and comprehensive lifestyle support.

Fever president Kelly Krauskopf highlighted the organization's dedication to providing players with top-tier resources for success. She believes this state-of-the-art training center will distinguish the Fever and enhance the player experience.

The facility will boast two full-size basketball courts, a fully equipped kitchen, dedicated areas for yoga and Pilates, a hair and nail salon, childcare facilities, and even a podcast and content production studio.

While the Fever currently have a training area within Gainbridge Fieldhouse, renovated in 2020, this new center represents a substantial upgrade and investment in the team's future. The surge in WNBA popularity, fueled in part by Caitlin Clark's remarkable rookie season, has led to record viewership and attendance. This growth has prompted league-wide advancements, such as the introduction of full-time charter flights for all teams.

The Fever's new training center follows a trend of other WNBA teams investing in similar facilities. Las Vegas, Seattle, and Phoenix have recently opened new training centers, and Chicago currently has one under construction.
