Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback Sean Clifford received a memorable welcome to Lambeau Field from his predecessor, Aaron Rodgers. Clifford, who now occupies Rodgers' former locker, shared a photo on social media of a jersey signed by the four-time MVP, calling it a "housewarming gift." The signed jersey features a message from Rodgers: "Sean – Welcome to GB! Enjoy that great city and my locker!" Two photos of Rodgers during his time with the Packers are also visible in the background of Clifford's picture.

The jersey was presented as part of the NFLPA’s Rookie Premiere event, where rookies receive messages from established NFL players. Clifford, a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, played five seasons at Penn State, setting program records for wins (32), passing yards (10,661), and passing touchdowns (86).

Following a successful Rose Bowl victory against Utah, Penn State head coach James Franklin praised Clifford's performance and leadership both on and off the field. Clifford is now competing for the backup quarterback position behind Jordan Love, who stepped into the starting role after Rodgers' trade to the New York Jets in April. Love gained experience during his first three seasons, appearing in 10 games as Rodgers' backup.
