Scott Presler Sets Sights on Turning New Jersey Red, Using 'Pennsylvania Model'

Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

Conservative activist Scott Presler, instrumental in Republican efforts in Pennsylvania, is now focusing on New Jersey, aiming to replicate his success there. While New Jersey has traditionally leaned Democratic, recent elections show a narrowing gap between parties, leading some to believe it could become a swing state. Presler, founder of the Early Vote Action PAC, shared his strategy with Fox News Digital, emphasizing voter registration and groundwork inspired by his Pennsylvania efforts.

Presler's Pennsylvania strategy centered on education, grassroots organization, and voter registration, particularly targeting specific demographics. He highlighted the importance of engaging conservatives in early and mail-in voting. He also focused on reaching out to truck drivers, the Amish community, veterans, and hunters. This approach, he believes, helped shrink the Democratic registration advantage in the state.

His plan for New Jersey involves similar tactics, building relationships in areas bordering Pennsylvania, like Sussex County. He's also investing in voter registration drives in Wildwood, a popular beach destination for Philadelphia residents, aiming to reach voters from both states. Presler's team will focus on New Jersey initially, with plans to leverage their efforts to support Pennsylvania's gubernatorial election in 2026.

Presler believes that Wildwood, where Trump held a rally in 2024, holds strategic importance due to its popularity with Philadelphia residents. He pointed out that while some questioned the rally's location, they overlooked the area's political significance. New Jersey hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate since 1988, but Presler's efforts aim to change that trend.
