Tragedy struck in central Seattle when a pregnant woman and her newborn baby lost their lives in a senseless act of violence. The 34-year-old woman, eight months pregnant, was shot multiple times while sitting in a car stopped at an intersection. The infant, delivered at a hospital after the shooting, sadly passed away shortly thereafter.

A 37-year-old man who was also in the vehicle sustained a gunshot wound to his arm and is currently receiving medical treatment.
