Authorities in Wisconsin are conducting a manhunt for a convicted felon following the discovery of two deceased children and an adult inside a residence. The New Lisbon Police Department reported that a child was reported missing Sunday evening, last seen with 47-year-old Virgil G. Thew. A second child was reported missing Monday morning. Hours later, the tragic discovery of the two children and an adult was made in a home on West Bridge Street. While it remains unclear if the deceased children are the same as those reported missing, Thew has been identified as a person of interest in the case. He is wanted by Wisconsin Probation and Parole and is considered armed and dangerous. Law enforcement agencies, including the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Juneau County Sheriff's Office, and Monroe County Sheriff's Department, processed the crime scene. Thew's criminal history reveals a string of felonies, including firearm possession as a felon, burglary, and theft, with a pattern of incarceration and release dating back to 1995. He was last paroled in 2012. The public is urged to avoid contact with Thew and report any sightings to authorities. He is described as 5-foot-10, weighing 150 pounds, and was last observed wearing a dark-colored down coat, blue jeans, and a hat. The Juneau County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.
