While initial assessments conducted during the game yielded negative results, Boone confirmed that Bader would undergo further evaluation, including X-rays and additional scans, upon the team's return to New York. The Yankees have an off-day on Thursday before commencing a three-game series against Kansas City on Friday.

Prior to the injury, Bader had been enjoying a productive stretch at the plate, hitting safely in eight of his previous twelve games. He went 0-for-2 in Wednesday's contest before being forced to exit.
