In his new Netflix docuseries, "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma," Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers opens up about the downsides of fame and its impact on his personal life, particularly his high-profile relationships. He expresses his frustration with the public scrutiny that comes with being a celebrated athlete, stating he never "signed up" for the constant attention beyond the football field.

Rodgers reflects on the period following the Packers' Super Bowl XLV victory in 2011, a time when his career skyrocketed, leading to increased media coverage and public interest in his personal life. He acknowledges the "weird stuff" that accompanies fame and admits to not always handling the attention well, especially regarding his relationships with actresses Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley, and race car driver Danica Patrick.

The quarterback specifically mentions that he "didn't do himself any favors" by dating women in the public eye, suggesting the added scrutiny complicated these relationships. He recalls initially "despising" the intrusion into his privacy, expressing a preference for a quieter life away from the spotlight.

The documentary touches on the controversy surrounding Rodgers' relationship with Munn, including allegations of a rift between Rodgers and his family. Munn later addressed the family dynamics in a 2018 interview, describing the situation as "complicated." Rodgers also dated Patrick for two years before their split in 2020.

His relationship with Woodley, which began during the pandemic, was marked by an engagement and subsequent on-and-off periods before their final separation in 2022. Woodley has since spoken about the emotional impact of the relationship. Currently, Rodgers is dating Mallory Edens, a model and daughter of Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens.
