In the early hours of Sunday, a drive-by shooting in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood claimed the life of a 40-year-old woman and left four others wounded. The incident, occurring just after 2 a.m., involved a suspect firing from a moving vehicle.

The 40-year-old female victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Four other individuals were also injured in the attack and are currently hospitalized in fair condition. A 38-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks, a 39-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm, another 38-year-old man was hit in the thigh, and a 42-year-old man sustained injuries to his leg and foot.

Law enforcement officials have yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
