During a recent podcast appearance, celebrity wedding planner Marcy Blum revealed a surprising anecdote about Jennifer Lopez's reaction to Bruno Mars' performance fee. Blum, who was working with Lopez and then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez on their wedding plans, recounted the incident on "The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast."

According to Blum, Lopez inquired about the possibility of having Mars perform at their wedding. Blum, having recently worked with Mars on another event, informed Lopez that the singer's fee was $5 million for a 45-minute to hour-long set. Lopez was reportedly taken aback, exclaiming, "Don’t be ridiculous!"

Blum, author of "Wedding Planning for Dummies," stated that she felt comfortable sharing the story because she hadn't signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Lopez and Rodriguez ultimately called off their engagement in 2021. They released a joint statement at the time, emphasizing their continued friendship and commitment to their shared business ventures. Lopez subsequently rekindled her relationship with Ben Affleck, whom she married in 2022. However, she filed for divorce from Affleck earlier this year.
