Free agent running back Dalvin Cook is eyeing a potential partnership with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for the upcoming NFL season. Released by the Minnesota Vikings in a cost-saving move, Cook expressed his desire to team up with Hopkins during an appearance on "The Adam Schefter Podcast."
Cook stated, "If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL." He emphasized their shared winning mentality, saying, "I know his mindset...he wants to win and that's what my mind [is] at too. I want to go win."

Cook's comments came shortly after the Arizona Cardinals released Hopkins. While Hopkins has reportedly visited the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, Cook revealed he plans to contact Hopkins directly. "He was one of those guys that I was going to reach out to, because, like, I know he got the same mindset as me, like we trying to go win. We're trying to go on the roster and trying to go contend."

Speculation has linked Cook to his hometown Miami Dolphins, though head coach Mike McDaniel remained noncommittal when questioned. Drafted by the Vikings in 2017, Cook has consistently delivered 1,000-yard seasons despite early career injuries, also amassing a significant number of touchdowns. Hopkins, a three-time first-team All-Pro, recorded impressive stats last season despite the Cardinals' struggles.

Cook reiterated his desire to join forces with Hopkins: "If we can get up on the same roster and be on the same team, that will be the beauty of the situation."
