Delta Air Lines and Shake Shack have joined forces again, bringing the popular burger chain's fare to the skies for first-class passengers departing from Boston. A Reddit user recently shared a photo of the meal, sparking online discussions about its quality and presentation.
The in-flight meal includes Shake Shack's signature burger with lettuce, tomato, a Caesar salad, and a brownie, substituting the usual crinkle-cut fries with a bag of chips. While some online commenters questioned the burger's authenticity, others confirmed it was indeed from Shake Shack, based on taste tests.

The presentation of the burger drew some criticism, with one user commenting on its unappealing appearance. However, the original poster defended the meal, stating it tasted good despite its initial presentation. Several users suggested purchasing a Shake Shack burger in the airport before boarding, as a more cost-effective alternative to paying for a first-class seat.

This isn't the first time Delta and Shake Shack have collaborated. Travel industry expert Gary Leff pointed out a previous partnership in 2016, offering the burger to business-class passengers on flights between JFK and LAX. He also noted that airline partnerships with fast-food chains aren't new, citing a past collaboration between United Airlines and McDonald's.

Delta has reported positive feedback on the partnership, with a high pre-selection rate for the Shake Shack burger among first-class passengers. The airline emphasized this as a "first-of-its-kind partnership," although previous collaborations between airlines and fast-food restaurants have existed. The burger is available to first-class passengers who pre-select their meal up to seven days before departure, with the option to modify their choice up to 24 hours in advance.

The collaboration has generated buzz online, with some praising the offering while others remain unconvinced about its value proposition compared to purchasing a burger before boarding. The availability of this premium fast-food option adds a new dimension to the in-flight dining experience for Delta's first-class passengers.
