Following the arrest of Rex Heuermann, an architect suspected in the Long Island serial killings, Las Vegas authorities are scrutinizing their unsolved cases for any possible connections. Heuermann's ownership of a Las Vegas timeshare has prompted this review.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed their awareness of Heuermann's ties to the city and stated they are examining unsolved cases for potential involvement. Specific cases under review haven't been disclosed.

Heuermann faces charges related to the deaths of three women in New York: Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello. Their bodies were discovered along a remote highway. He remains a key suspect in the death of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, while seven other bodies found in the vicinity add complexity to the investigation. The initial discovery of the “Gilgo Four” stemmed from the search for missing escort Shannan Gilbert, whose disappearance triggered the investigation.
