A routine American Airlines flight from Dallas to Minneapolis took an unexpected turn when a lavatory malfunction caused water to flood the cabin aisle. Passenger Hilary Stewart Blazevic documented the incident, capturing footage of flight attendants struggling to contain the leak, which persisted for a significant portion of the three-hour journey.

Blazevic recounted the scene to Storyful, describing passengers' initial disbelief and growing concern as the water level rose. The video shows travelers lifting their belongings and carefully navigating the aisle to avoid the spreading liquid, which Blazevic described as "disgusting." She noted that the woman who used the restroom prior to the incident did not report any issues to the crew.

The incident sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with users expressing surprise, amusement, and concern. Some questioned the amount of water stored on a plane, while others offered humorous theories about the cause of the leak. One user even joked about opening the plane door, referencing a common misconception about airplane depressurization.

This isn't the first time an in-flight lavatory malfunction has caused disruption. In April, an Alaska Airlines flight from Honolulu to Anchorage was forced to return after a similar flooding incident. In that case, water reportedly reached several inches deep in the cabin, prompting flight attendants to use paper towels to soak up the mess.
