Seattle Gym Standoff Ends with Arrest After Man Holds Customer at Gunpoint

A tense situation unfolded at a Seattle Gold's Gym on Wednesday evening, culminating in the arrest of a 42-year-old man. Police responded to reports of an armed individual inside the fitness center, located in the 400 block of Broadway East. The suspect had allegedly engaged in a dispute and subsequently held another man at gunpoint.

Seattle Police Department's Hostage Negotiation Team successfully communicated with the suspect, persuading him to comply with their instructions. This allowed SWAT to enter the building safely and take the man into custody. He was booked into King County Jail on charges of assault and unlawful imprisonment.
