Tori Spelling Seeks Specialized Brain Scans for Family After Mold Poisoning

Created: JANUARY 21, 2025

Actress Tori Spelling is taking proactive steps to address health concerns stemming from severe mold exposure in her family's rented home. She recently reached out to her Instagram followers for recommendations on facilities in the Los Angeles area specializing in 3T MRI brain scans and neuroquant analysis. Spelling explicitly linked the need for these specialized scans to the mold issue, which she previously revealed had caused a "continual spiral of sickness" for herself, husband Dean McDermott, and their five children.

This latest development follows Spelling's public plea in May for a mold lawyer to help navigate the complex situation. At the time, she described the mold infestation as "slowly killing" her family over the past three years. She also shared that the children had experienced dizziness, respiratory problems, allergies, and skin rashes, prompting multiple urgent care visits. One of her children, Finn, suffered from a high fever and strep throat.

Spelling had initially attributed the recurring illnesses to common school-borne infections. However, the severity and persistence of the symptoms eventually led to the discovery of the extensive mold problem. The home was subsequently deemed a health hazard, forcing the family to make plans for relocation. While facing the daunting task of moving a large family amidst ongoing health issues, Spelling expressed gratitude for having renters insurance.
