U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainer Sergeant First Class Scott Dalrymple recently appeared on "The Ingraham Angle" to discuss a new Army advertisement emphasizing strength and fitness. The ad, titled "Stronger People are HARDER to KILL!," showcases Dalrymple engaging in weightlifting and deadlifting exercises.
Dalrymple explained that the video aims to promote the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program, which focuses on preparing soldiers for combat through physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pillars. He highlighted the importance of sleep as a key element of the program, contributing to overall well-being and effectiveness as a warfighter. This emphasis on sleep aligns with recent concerns about widespread sleep deprivation.

Host Laura Ingraham questioned whether military personnel are optimistic about the effectiveness of such fitness initiatives under the leadership of individuals like former President Trump and former Acting Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who have been critical of DEI policies and what they perceive as "woke" culture in the military.
Dalrymple responded by stating that a renewed focus on fitness is emerging within the military and that this has been a necessary development to get back on track. He believes these programs are vital for enhancing soldiers' combat readiness.

This new advertisement and its focus on strength and holistic fitness represent a shift in tone from some of the military's messaging under the previous administration. A 2021 animated recruitment video, for example, drew considerable criticism on social media.
