This attack highlights the increasing danger faced by civilians in Ukrainian cities due to missile strikes. Just days earlier, falling debris from intercepted Russian missiles caused a fire in a Kyiv apartment building, resulting in fatalities and injuries. Over 20 missiles were reportedly detected and neutralized by Ukrainian anti-aircraft units during that incident.

Other Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Dnipro, were also targeted in missile attacks over the weekend, causing further damage and disruption. The attack on a gas line in Kharkiv sparked a fire, while several homes were destroyed in Dnipro.
